| BOOK REVIEW | THE WINNER’S CURSE BY MARIE RUTKOSKI

the winner's curseThe Winner’s Curse
Author : Marie Rutkoski
Series : The Winner’s Trilogy
genres : Fantasy, Young Adult

It follows Kestrel, whose father is a general of Valorian army. She has to decide between a military life and a marriage.
Kestrel is this strong minded, stubborn woman, and has a cunning mind.
She bought Arin, a Herrani slave.
This book is so different from everything I’ve read before !
The characters, the settings, everything is greatly described.
I really like Kestrel’s spirit. She calculates things, she is a strategist.
Arin, despite his actions, you can’t hate him. He is full of love for Kestrel. But this love is hidden beneath a large coat of hatred and avenge feelings.

5 stars

This is the pretty lame review I wrote months ago on goodreads but without the spoiler part.
