This is the second book in a series. This review may spoil you if you haven’t read Bloodlines or this book.
So glad to read about Sydney’s adventures !
What I liked the most in this book is her character’s developement. She started to date Brayden without feeling anything toward him, even when kissing him. She has her neat life, her program, her mission, eveything is neat in her life. But Adrian. Adrian her friend, a moroï she can’t stop herself for caring for, or helping him.
Adrian who is so much like her and yet so different. Adrian that defended her so many times. Adrian that made her feel so special. Adrian she beat back. Poor Adrian.
His character developement is interesting too. He wants to change, not to please her but because she makes him want to. That’s a big difference.
The light warriors are special, and as stubborn as the alchemists. They’re not that different, in the end, and Sydney is starting to see that. She is fond of her new friends, and not that blind anymore. She even used magic to save her friend.
It was easy to see that Trey was related to these warriors.
Another old review. Sorry for the spoilers, I’m now trying to write reviews without spoilers. But that wasn’t the case back then.
