Hello my lovelies ! It’s that time again ! Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke And The Bookish. Today’s topic is : Top Ten Books With X Setting (top ten books set near the beach, top ten book set in boarding school, top ten books set in England, etc).
I decided to do my top ten books set in a boarding school !
Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead is the first one that came to mind when I read the topic !
Tales From The Shadowhunter Academy is another boarding school !
Half-Blood by Jennifer L. Armentrout from the Covenant series takes mainly place in their school. I almost forgot that one, even though I really enjoyed it !
The Percy Jackson series takes also place (at least sometimes!) in Camp Half Blood, which is a sort of boarding school for demi gods !
An Ember In The Ashes by Sabaa Tahir takes place in a military boarding school ! We also have the House Of Night series, written by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast.
Anna and The French Kiss takes place in a Parisian boarding school, while The Witches Of The Glass Castle takes place in a sort of school for witches and warriors !
Shadow And Bone by Leigh Bardugo. I don’t know if that’s totally correct, but the Little Palace can be considered as a boarding school, right ?!
And last but not least,let’s not forget Harry Potter ! Hogwart is probably the most famous boarding school !

Great list of boarding school books! Harry Potter would totally be at the top of my list. And Shadow and Bone fits…they were away from home and learning.

I have only read Anna and the French Kiss on your list though I have Percy Jackson on my TBR. Great List. My TTT focused on books that have beach settings.

I love reading books set in boarding schools! I would also recommend Looking for Alaska by John Green, Paper Covers Rock by Jenny Hubbard, and The Starboard Sea by Amber Dermont. Great list! 🙂

Oh my god. For some reason it completely skipped my mind that An Ember in the Ashes was set in a boarding school! Like I just didn’t connect the dots at all, haha. Great choices – I loved Vampire Academy and Percy Jackson. 🙂

Hogwarts is the best boarding school of ALL TIME! Also, the military school in An Ember in the Ashes seems super cool, although the commandant is scary… especially to her own child </3 I also want to go to SOAP, it seems like THE school to find love though hahaha great list!

I always wondered what it’d be like if I went to a boarding school. It seems like on hell of an experience. So many great books in this list. Anna and the French Kiss is the first book to always come to mind when I think of a boarding school setting.
