It has been a while since I read the previous book. I really love the Bloodlines series ! I was actually a little afraid to read this book. I heard and read mixed reviews about this one and I wanted things to be wrapped nicely, you know ?
Plot
I really enjoyed it, to be honest ! It’s far from being the best one in the series but it’s still a good book.
In my opinion, it lacked the epic battle scenes I got used to in the previous books.
But I still enjoyed it, I think it wrapped the story very nicely ! At the beginning things were really slow but once the plot got settled, it was more fast paced.
Nonetheless, I found the “quest” to find Jill a little too easy, as if it was rushed.
Being with you is the best thing that’s ever happened to me, the one perfect decision I’ve made in a lifetime of fumbling and poor judgment. I’d go through it all again to be by your side. Never doubt that. Never doubt how I feel about you.
I still enjoyed the story, the humor and Sydrian of course ! Their relationship is really an amazing one ! They take care of each other in a really beautiful way. I also enjoyed reading about Rose and Dimitri !
I also have to say that some plot twists totally surprised me !
The ending was cheesy but yet perfect !

I hope it’s not the last time we get to read about the Vampire Academy ! I would really like to read more about this amazing universe !
Characters
- Sydney is such an amazing character ! She is the one that has grown the most, she has changed so much ! She hated the vampires so much, she was disgusted by them, and now she is married to one !
I really like her ! She is smart, funny AND addicted to coffee ! - Adrian also changed a lot. He was so careless at the beginning of the series (and in Vampire Academy). Now he tries his best not to hurt Sydney. He acts as a responsible young man.
- Eddie has finally a chance to save the girl he’s in love with.
But who am I to judge? We’re all fighting our own battles, the best way we can.
