Divergent movieDivergent
Directed by Neil Burger
Released on March 21, 2014 (US)

I’ve already seen this movie when it was released but decided to watch it once again to write a review.

I’ve read the book written by Veronica Roth years ago and really liked it. So I was really eager to see the movie adaptation.

The movie is really faithful to the book, it’s great to see ! I really appreciated it. Of course it means that I didn’t get surprised while watching it but that’s okay ! Because it also means that every important scene was there.

Now let’s talk about the casting. I found the actors well chosen. Tris is played by Shailene Woodley. It’s a great actress. Theo James plays the badass Four. Aaah. Four. Perfect choice, really ! The chemistry between the two of them is real ! Caleb is played by Ansel Elgort. Jeannine is played by Kate Winslet and she was the perfect evil woman, manipulative, cold. I’ve always enjoyed Kate Winslet’s work and she didn’t disappoint at all in this movie !
The casting is really amazing. They all made a great job !

I really enjoyed watching this movie ! It’s action packed, the story is well explained and that’s all I was asking for !

Have you seen it ? Did you enjoy it ?

  1. I love the movie and the acting choices. I could watch it continuously without getting bored of it. I’m sad that their not going to be finishing the movies off though. I think they said they would make a TV Movie and Shailene and Theo dropped out because obviously they didn’t sign up for a TV movie. In that case if they have then I don’t think I would bother watching the last TV movie because I can’t see two new actors portraying them as well?
It’s such a shame when the first movie is SOO good.
