Hello lovelies !! It has been a long time since I posted a discussion post ! Today I’m gonna talk about how difficult it is to have a balanced life. And by that I mean balanced between your blogging life, work and your social life.
Let’s be honest, blogging is like having a second job. It takes time. Writing reviews, finding ideas for original posts, making memes and challenges, it’s time consuming. And let’s not forget the most important part of the book blogging : the reading time !
For the last 3 years, I wrote posts mainly the evenings, with my TV on. And I had a LOT of time left for reading. That is, until I moved into my own flat, with all the duties that came with it. Less reading time, more chores. But I managed to find a good blogging pace nonetheless. I wrote my reviews during my lunchbreaks.
But for the last 3 months, I’ve struggling to keep a good blogging schedule. My social life is taking more time (and I’m really happy about it), and I also started practicing crossfit. And it also takes a lot of time. To be honest, I felt a lot of pressure because my blogging situation. Seeing how spare my posts became, how my stats dropped, really it stressed me out. And I realized something. It shouldn’t. Blogging isn’t my job, it’s my hobby. It shouldn’t stress me. So, I’m trying a new approach. I try to write posts and schedule them whenever I can. But if I can’t find time to write a post, it’s okay. Because I’m happy with how my life is right now.
I find it soooo difficult to juggle everything. I’m a full-time college student, I work part-time, I volunteer at a hospital and I try to have somewhat of a social life. I do most of my reading on the bus and write my blog posts at night. I like being busy anyways!

T’as bien raison, détend toi, garde plaisir a le faire, c’est clairement un deuxième job d’avoir une présence sur internet maintenant! Le tout c’est que tu sois bien dans tes chaussettes a la fin de la journée ❤

I still struggle to find a balance between life and blogging. I’m juggling two jobs and sometimes I find myself working 9am – 10pm between both of them so I literally don’t have the time to dedicate myself to the blog as much as I use to. I find I can usually schedule all of my weekly posts on Sunday, but it’s the blog-hopping/engaging side that I really struggle to keep up with. Like you said, blogging is a hobby and the best philosophy is to write when you want to.

I too find it so hard. I was a full time nurse and have my house to clean. Now I’m a new mum to a 3 month old and wow I have even less time, plus chores and time with my man.
Don’t stress there is so much pressure put on us as bloggers z

I feel you! I am working full-time, I am studying French and I am going to start volunteering with kids soon. At least when it comes to house chores, I live with my boyfriend, so we share the burden. I believe you are right in realising that blogging is a hobby and should not stress you out. I hope you find the balance you want!

Oh you’re French? Hopefully when I get better in this language I will be able to write my comments in it too! What place of France do you come from?

It just came to me! You don’t have to come from France to speak French as your Native language. Sorry if I made a wrong assumption there!

It’s such a struggle! I’ve had a lot less time since moving into my own house, which is a LOT of upkeep. I also have 7 cats and a dog lol! It’s so hard to find balance!
