11 Facts about me :

1. I’m French, living in the South of France
2. I’m 26 years old. I’ll turn 27 at the end of January.
3. For more than 2 years, I suffered from a chronic pain. Thanks to some wonderful doctors, I have overcome it, and healed totally. But it did change me. As a sort of revenge, I did my pharmacy Phd thesis on the pain and how to deal with it.
4. my favorite band is 30 seconds to mars. Their music helped me a lot while I was suffering from this. I went to see them live twice.
5. My favorite dish is my Grandma’s lasagna ! She is the best cook, seriously !
6. I am now a huge Marvel movies’ fan. My favorite character is Loki.
7. I really love my work. As a community pharmacist, I get to help people. There’s no greater feeling !
8. I am really small (5.08 ft…). My friends call me Pitiflo (piti stands for petit)
9. I honestly don’t know what I would do without my friends.
10. I have created this blog in March; I didn’t know if I would like writing, and posting. It happens that I really like this ! and the community here is amazing !
11. I’m gonna start scrapbooking !

It’s a tie between Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Gilmore Girls.

Question 2 : Which Hogwarts house are you in?

I’m a proud Ravenclaw !

Question 3 : Star Trek, Star Wards, neither or Tolkien?

Hmm… Tolkien, but I also like Star Wars !

Question 4 : What do you want from the future? (hoverboards, etc?)

A flying car !! So I won’t waste time anymore to go to work !

Question 5 : What is the song you’d play to get in a party/pumped up mood?

Oh, that’s a tough one… I would say Shut up + Dance by Walk The Moon. This song is just fabulous !

Question 6 : A book you wish you could unread?

The Harry Potter series so I could read them for the first time again. That would be so wonderful !

Question 7 : A book you wish you could reread?

I often reread books, so there’s not one in particular.

Question 8 : Country you wish to visit?

There are a lot ! I want to go back to London, visit the rest of the England, too. I also want to go to Scotland, Ireland, US, Australia, Canada and Hungary !

Question 9 : Do you annotate your books?

No, never. I want my books to stay pristine !

Question 10 : English or Math?

English obviously ! It’s not my native language (I am still doing mistakes…) but I have always liked it; it was my favorite subject at school !

Fine, thanks ! This week has been crazy, with work and Christmas so today I just enjoyed some free time !

Question 1 : If your life was a book genre, what would it be, and why ?

Oooh that’s a tough one to start with ! Well probably fantasy. I would love to be a little more than just a human, a mundane. Maybe a shadowhunter, or an allomancer !

Question 2 : What is a book you had such high hopes for but ultimately disappointed you?

Hmm… Probably The Book Thief. I read so many great things about this book. But I haven’t been able to appreciate it.

Question 3 : What magic/superpower would you want, and which universe would your power come from? (e.g. Earth-bending from Avatar the Last Airbender, magical ability from Harry Potter, etc.)

Allomancy, from the Mistborn series, by Brandon Sanderson. Being able to use some metals to do magic, it would be so amazing !

Question 4 : To get the magical ability/superpower from Question 3, what would you give up in exchange? (It has to be something that you possess, and cannot be bought/sold.)

Again a tough one ! Hmm. Oh wait ! I would give up my job (even if it’s not really something I possess…) to be a full time allomancer !

Question 5 : What is an ending to a book that you hated? (Please tag your spoilers!)

Allegiant !

Question 6 : How would you write the ending from Question 5?

You’re not helping me keeping this spoiler free ! Well, if you’ve haven’t read Allegiant, just skip this and go directly to the next question !
I would change the death that made me cry so many tears.

Question 7 : What is the oldest book (by original publication) you possess and the newest? (Do they have any similarities?)

The oldest one is The Three Musketeers, by alexandre Dumas, in a leather-bound edition. The newest one must be An Ember In The Ashes by Sabaa Tahir, I think. Both are great books !

Question 8 : Who would you cast as your favourite character?

My favourite character ? Just one ?! Hmm. I’m gonna go for Tessa in The Infernal Devices trilogy ! I … well I have no idea in fact haha ! I keep picturing Tessa, Will and Jem as they are on the photoshoot/trailer (?) that was on Tumblr. I had more ideas for other characters, but there already are TV/movie adaptations so…

Question 9 : What is a theme/motif that you love reading about?

I don’t really have a fav theme. I love fantasy and high fantasy books, such as the Mistborn trilogy, or Harry Potter. But I also love dystopian, contemporary etc…

Question 10 : (Last and easy question!) What is your favourite book-to-movie adaptation?

It’s The Lord Of The Rings, hands down ! No matter how much I like/love/appreciate other book-to-movie adaptations, this one will probably always stay my favorite !

Let’s start with the 7 facts, shall we ?

1. I don’t know if I already said it, but I’m french community pharmacist, and I love my job.
2. I’m currently searching for a flat to buy. This is such an exciting “quest” and yet it also frightens me.
3. I suffered from a chronic pain for more than 2 years. It changed my vision of life.
4. I enjoy running. Right now it’s the only physical activity I’m doing.
5. I’m single (but I have a bunch of fictional boyfriends haha !)
6. I’m really close to my maternal grandparents. They have always been there to help my parents rising up my brother and I.
7. I can’t stand the heat. I love Fall and Winter, wearing scarves and jackets, and comfy jumpers.

What do you pay attention to the most when you’re reading ?

Oh that’s a really tough one ! I don’t really know … Probably the plot. If there’s a lack of consistency, for example, I’ll notice it. Though the most important thing is that I’m convinced by the story, and that I’m compelled to turn the page.

Based on just the cover alone, what book do you love the most?

This one is easier. I’m very fond of The Infernal Devices’ covers, the old ones. Especially Clockwork Princess. I think it’s the most gorgeous cover that I own. I may be biased, though, because it’s also my favorite trilogy.

What is one book that has had an impact on your life?

I may go with Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows. First because it was the end of an important era. It’s also the first book I read in English, easily enough. It made me realize that I could read more books in English. It wasn’t immediate, though. I bought the Trylle trilogy by Amanda Hocking like 2 years after reading the last Harry Potter book. But it was the beginning !

What book(s) are you most excited to read this year?

Granted, the year is in its last quarter. But I’m REALLY excited to read 3 books, 2 that I already own, 1 that I still need to buy.

A Darker Shade Of Magic, by V.E. Schwab.

I have wanted this book since it came out. But I waited some months before buying it. Don’t ask me why, I don’t really know the answer myself. Now it has been on my TBR shelf for a little more than 2 months, and I can’t wait to read it ! I totally picture myself cuddled in a blanket, drinking hot tea and reading this book.
It will probably be on my next TBR !

An Ember In  The Ashes by Sabaa Tahir.

I heard and read so many great things about this book ! Everyone is raving about it, on Instagram, booktube etc…
Of course I had to get it !
You’ll see this bad boy featured in my September haul.
I cannot wait to start it ! I know that there will be a sequel.

Heir Of Fire by Sarah J. Maas

This is the one I still need to buy. I know, I know. Why haven’t I bought it already ? The answer is quite simple (and infuriating) : matching editions. This gorgeous green cover has only been available in paperback since the beginning of this month.
I can’t wait to read more about this incredible story ! I loved the first two books !

What are your top three most listened to songs ?

It always changes. But right now I would say :
– Shut Up + Dance by Walk The Moon
– Shatter Me by Lindsey Stirling
– Photograph by Ed Sheeran.

If you could give one piece of advice to people who don’t like reading, what would you say ?

Find a book you’re intrigued about. A book to movie adaptation amazed you ? Why not try the book ? If you show some interest toward a book, pick it up ! Give it a try ! I’m sure you won’t be disappointed ! 

What is one thing you wish people knew about you ?

I’m addicted to coffee. I love tea, but coffee is what I need in order to stay awake all day long.

Flowlessbooks was created a few months ago. In March, right after I passed my thesis. But I had it in mind since last year, I think. I just waited because I wanted to have enough time to take care of it properly.

I started my “bookish adventures” on bookstagram and goodreads way before that but that wasn’t enough. I wanted a place of my own to post my reviews, and other things book related. To be honest, I hesitated between a blog or a booktube channel. But I’m not ready to let you hear my French accent haha !

My advice to new bloggers would be to do it at your own pace. Your blog won’t be perfect the day you create it. It takes time, energy and imagination to create a place that looks like the way you want it. And that’s okay. There’s no need to rush !

I’m a French community pharmacist. My dream is to move to London and work there. I love my job (even though I would also be happy doing other jobs, especially book related!) and I fell in love with London. It’s gorgeous and when I went there, I felt at home. Way more than in my own city.

I’m a huge fan of dance. And I’m not talking about the music. I have taken ballet lessons for 8 years. Then I learned how to dance country, salsa, bachata. Lately, I’m more into techpara. It’s a japanese dance on hyper techno music or on eurodance. (if you want I can show you some videos on youtube)

As I cannot live without books, I also cannot live without music. I listen to various styles. I can listen to Taylor Swift’s latest album and then decide to put an Epica’s song. I’m very eclectic. I also like to go to concerts and live shows.

I’m also addicted to TV shows. I have so many that I like ! Right now I’m trying to finish Revenge before the beginning of October. I also watch Arrow, The Flash, Pretty Little Liars, Black List, Sleepy Hollow, Teen Wolf and many others.

I’m suffering from a huge lack of confidence. But it’s getting better and better. I’m learning to love myself, even though it’s far from being easy.
I’m also trying to stop comparing myself to other. That’s not easy neither.

I’m also addicted to nail polishes. I own like 80 bottles. Yeah, I know it’s quite a lot. Before turning it into a bookstagram account, my IG account was mainly about nail polishes. And food. Turning it into a bookstagram account was a really great decision.

I hate the heat. Summer is my least favorite season. I’d rather be cold and wear a jumper with a comfy scarf instead of sweating every time I make the slightest move.
I also prefer hot beverage. Who cannot enjoy spending the day with a book, under a fluffy blanket with a hot cup of tea/coffee/chocolate ?
