| BOOK HAUL | MY MAY 2016 BOOK HAUL

 

Hello everyone ! Today I’m bringing you my May book haul ! I am trying to keep my TBR under 40 books… Which means that I’m trying my best to be reasonable… This month I went a little crazy when it came to book buying… my TBR is more around the 50 books now haha. I got a total of 8 books this month, including an e book (well, more novellas but I consider it as the bind up !)

physical copies :

• Comme Convenu by Laurel is a French comic I preordered many months ago !
• Archer’s Voice by Mia Sheridan. The French publisher, Hugo New Romance kindly sent it to me ! I cannot wait to read this one !
• The Islanders vol.2 by Katherine Applegate
• Shadow And Bone by Leigh Bardugo. I heard so many great things about this series ! I can’t wait to dive into the Grisha universe !
• Siege And Storm which is the second book in the Grisha trilogy !
• Hopeless by Colleen Hoover. A Coho’s book, what else ?
• The Winner’s Crime by Marie Rutkoski which is the second book in the Winner’s trilogy. I really enjoyed the first book !
• The Star-Touched Queen by Roshani Chokski. I’ve got my eyes on this one for a long time but Lola’s review and the author’s interview convinced me to buy it ASAP !

 

E book :

I bought the Tales From The Shadowhunter Academy by Cassandra Clare, Sarah Rees Brennan, Maureen Johnson & Robin Wasserman. I actually read it in May too. My review will be up this week, hopefully haha !

 

I bought Shadow And Bone and Siege And Storm via BookoutletFR, on Amazon. I am so GLAD there’s a way for us Frenchies to buy from BookOutlet !! But at the moment their Amazon shop is closed… I hope it won’t last long !

 

That’s it ! Not bad for a haul, right ?! Hopefully I’ll buy less book in June !

| BOOK HAUL | MY APRIL BOOK HAUL

Hello everyone ! It’s time for the monthly book haul post again !
I bought a total of 5 books and I won one !

Books I bought :

A Book Of Spirits And Thieves by Morgan Rhodes

This is the first book in the Falling Kingdoms series’ spin off.
I can wait to read it even though I will probably wait for the second book to come out so I can read them back to back ! But I’m very curious about this spin off series !

 

Les Fiancés de L’hiver by Christelle Dabos

This is the first book in a French series called La Passe-miroir.
I bought this at Cultura when I went for the signing event with Colleen Hoover and Anna Todd. Cindy from Lespetitsmotsdeci raved about it so I had to buy it ! I trust her recommendations so much !

 

Blue Lily, Lily Blue by Maggie Stiefvater

This is the third book in the Raven cycle. I always have to wait at least a year after the release of each book because I bought the US paperback, how silly of me. I’ll probably reread the first two books before stating this one !
But I can’t wait to dive back into this world !

 

The Fill-In Boyfriend by Kasie West.

These past months I’ve been in a fantasy mood. But this month I’ve read two contemporaries and now I want more. I need more.

I’ve read The Distance Between Us and really enjoyed it.

 

Dark Triumph by Robin LaFevers

This is the second book in His Fair Assassin trilogy. Another series I can’t wait to begin !
I’ll wait until I buy the last book though so I can marathon the series !

Hello everyone ! Today I’m here to talk about the book I bought/got during the month of March.

I bought a total of 3 books, received 2 pre orders and won an ebook ! So, without further ado, here is my March book haul !

Books I bought :

 

• The Bane Chronicles by Cassandra Clare, Sarah Rees Brennan and Maureen Johnson. It’s a collection of short stories around Magnus Bane, an important character in the shadowhunters series, The Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices. I’ve read a few of them that I’ve bought last year on my kindle.
• Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. It’s a book that I already own in another (not pretty) edition and I wanted that one !
• Dragonfly In Amber by Diana Gabaldon. I also own another edition and I’ve been meaning to pick it up again for months now ! Since the show is coming back, I need to finish it !

 

Pre orders :

 

• A Gathering Of Shadows by V.E. Schwab. That’s right ! My pre order arrived on March 10th ! I was so angry with amazon, you have no idea !!
• Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare, which is the first book in The Dark Artifices series, another Shadowhunters series ! This one I bought on bookdepository and got the day it was released !

Inconceivable ! by Tegan Wren that I won !

| BOOK HAUL | MY NOVEMBER BOOK HAUL

Hello everyone ! It’s time to post my November book haul, don’t you think ? This haul will be a little different : I haven’t taken any photo because I only bought e books. Yep, I had been really reasonable ! (Wait to see my December haul, though!) Instead I tried to make some design… I’m not totally happy with it but hey, it’s a start, I guess !

So I only bought two e books in November :

All played Out, by Cora Carmack.
It’s the third book in her Rusk university series ! I really enjoyed the first two books and I cannot wait to dive into this one.

Hopefully I’ll be able to read it before the end of the year ! Even though I haven’t been in a contemporary mood, lately…

Relentless by Karen Lynch.
This one I got for free thanks to Benjaminoftomes videos called Free Book Friday.

Aaaaaand that’s all I got during the month of November ! I know, it’s a pitiful haul, but I tried to restrain myself. My TBR shelf is really growing lately and I wanted to diminish it a little !

| BOOK HAUL | MY OCTOBER BOOK HAUL

Hello everyone !!! I know I am so late for my October book haul… *shame shame shame*
I bought a total of 6 books in October, 5 physical copies and one e book.

Let’s start, shall we ?

• Heir Of Fire by Sarah J. Maas, which is book 3 in the Throne Of Glass series. I really enjoyed the first two books, and I am waiting for my The Assassin’s blades’ copy to arrive.
• I also bought City Of bones by Cassandra Clare in paperback with the old cover. I already own a movie tin-in paperback but I wanted all my editions to match. (Even though the font changed on the cover…)
• Le Royaume Immobile by Pierre Pevel, which is the third book in Le Paris Des Merveilles series.
• Awakened by P.C & Kristin Cast. I bought the French version called Libérée.
• Pure by J. L. Armentrout, which is the second book in The Covenant series. Another series that I can’t wait to read !

 The e book I got this month is Ted Saves The World by Bryan Cohe. Once again I got it for free thanks to Benjamin from Benjaminoftomes !

That’s all for the month of October. My November book haul will be really smaller ! I promise, I won’t wait another month to post it !

| BOOK HAUL | MY SEPTEMBER BOOK HAUL

Hello everyone ! I know I haven’t been very active lately, but you know life got in the middle.
So here is my (late) September book haul ! I bought a total of 10 books, 9 physical copies and 1 e book.

• First, my The Infernal Devices boxset finally arrived ! I ordered it in the beginning of August but it got lost. So BookDepository sent it back again. This is my favorite trilogy and I am so happy to own it in hardbacks !
• An Ember In The Ashes by Sabaa Tahir. I bought it at Shakespeare and Co while being in Paris. I am so excited for this one !
• The Time Traveler’s wife by Audrey Niffenegger that I also bought at Shakespeare and Co.
• A Tale Of Two Cities by Charles Dickens. My very first Penguin Classic ! this is the third book I bought at Shakespeare and Co.
• The Sky Is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson.
• The Perks Of Being A Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
• The Rosie Effect by Graeme Simsion which is the sequel to The Rosie Project that I don’t own… I made a mistake so now I have to buy the first book haha!

The e book I got is More Happy Than Not by Adam Silvera which was on sale.

| BOOK HAUL |MY AUGUST BOOK HAUL

Hello guys ! I’m here (well, not really here. I’m probably in a train heading to Paris while you’re reading this !) to show you guys my August Book Haul. I bought 8 books this month, 5 physical copies and 3 e books.

Let’s start with those on my photo.

• The Islanders volume 1 by Katherine Applegate. I read this series in French many years ago. It was then called Making Out (Prénom Zoe in French)and not The Islanders. Anyway. I loved loved loved this NA series and I cannot wait to read it again, this time in English!
• The Distance Between Us by Kasie West. I read good things about this author and I wanted to read one of her books.
• Half-Blood by Jennifer L. Armentrout. Finally I can read another of her books!
• World After by Susan Ee.
• L’Elixir d’Oubli, which is the second book in Le Paris Des Merveilles series by Pierre Pevel.

I also got 3 e-books for my kindle. Thanks to Ben from Benjaminoftomes I got these for free on amazon !

• The Faerie Guardian by Rachel Morgan, book 1 in the Creepy Hollow series.
• Aurora Sky : Vampire Hunter by Nikki Jefford
• Crystal Magic by Madeline Freeman, book 1 in the Clearwater Witches series.

Hello everyone ! Sorry I hadn’t been active this week. But hopefully I’ll be able to post more this week end !

So here is my rather small July Book Haul :

• Le Paris Des Merveilles #1 : Les Enchantements d’Ambremer by Pierre Pevel which is the first book in a french series.
• Of Neptune, by Anna Banks, last book in the Syrena Legacy series. This book is part of my TBR for the month of August (that you can read here). I’m currently reading this one and enjoying it. I’ll talk more about it in my review.
• A Darker Shade Of Magic by V.E. Schwab. I can’t wait to dive into this one ! I love her writing, the worlds she created so yeah, I can’t wait to read it !
• The Rise Of Nine by Pittacus Lore, which is book 3 in the Lorien legacies series.

Hello everyone ! Here is my May book haul. It’s smaller than I thought it would be, but the rest hasn’t been delivered yet…

I bought these in  a lovely bookshop/ tea room.

• All The Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr. I cannot wait to dive into this one , especially after hearing Regan from PeruseProject raving so much about it !
• I’ll Give You The Sun by Jandy Nelson
• The Miniaturist, by Jessie Burton.

As you can see, there are two adults novels. I’m slowly adding more (english written) adults books to my reading. That doesn’t mean that I like YA less, not at all !

I also bought a bunch of e books for my kindle :

• Hunted by Abi Ketner and Missy Kalicicki
• Lover Eternal (french version) by  J. R. Ward
• Inked by Eric Smith
• The Year We Fell Down by Sarina Bowen.
