As I said earlier, I’m buying my own flat so yeah, I’m now in a sort of book buying ban. Sort of because I know I won’t resist totally haha ! But I’m lucky I preordered a few !
Hello lovelies ! How are you ? I can’t believe July is over already ! It’s been a crazy month, for me ! I finally found the most perfect apartment to buy hence a lot of appointments ! I also worked more hours to cover for a coworker. Which means I haven’t been able to read as much as I would have liked to !
I read a total of 5 books, 4 physical copies and one e book.

I also started the third book in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series called Lover Awakened ! And I also kept reading Days Of Throbbing Gristle by Kevin Cole.

It’s one of my most anticipated releases for 2016 and it didn’t disappoint !!! I knew I would like it and I was right !
In V city, violence breeds monsters. Corsai, Malchai and the most dangerous ones, Sunai. The city is divided in two parts, and security is something you have to pay for.
The story is told from two very different POV; first Kate, who is Harker’s daughter. Harker is ruling North City. Kate is trying her best to be just like her father, to make him proud.
The second POV is August’s. He is a monster, but wants to help to keep V city as safe as possible.
They both attend the same school. They couldn’t be more different. And yet, they will have to team up to survive.
I mean, most people want to escape. Get out of their heads. Out of their lives. Stories are the easiest way to do that.
Once again, Victoria Schwab did it. She crafted an amazing world, filled with flawed and well written characters !
I really really enjoyed this book ! The world she created is so unique and interesting ! It’s a story about monstrous humans and human monsters. I also think that this story is about family. I won’t say too much of course, but the way both protagonists were raised determined lots of things.
Another thing I enjoyed in this book, it’s the importance of music. Beautiful and deadly ! Let’s say that I totally get the cover meaning now ! I also had a song stuck in my mind while reading this book : Devil In A Midnight Mass by Billy Talent (here !)
Nobody gets to stay the same.
I’m not gonna talk about the other characters, because I think it’s better if you read it without knowing too much about it ! I’m just gonna say that the side characters aren’t forgotten and are also important !

I am still currently reading Days Of Throbbing Gristle by Kevin Cole and I started This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab two days ago ! It’s one of my most anticipated releases for 2016 ! I’m only at the beginning but I’m really enjoying it !
Last week I was reading After by Anna Todd. I must say I was really surprised by it. I wasn’t expecting to enjoy it that much ! I hope to post my review later this week !
I was also reading Days Of Throbbing Gristle.
I probably won’t have a lot of time left for reading this week. If I manage to finish This Savage Song, I plan on starting Hopeless by Colleen Hoover next.

This is the second book in the A Darker Shade Of Magic trilogy.
I read the first book back in November and I really loved it ! I loved everything about this book : the universeS, the epic characters, the plot …I cannot wait to read more about Kell and Lila !
This book is coming out on February 23rd 2016.
Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare.
This is the first book in her new shadowhunters series called The Dark Artifices. The Infernal Devices is my favorite trilogy and I really liked The Mortal Instruments series (which I am rereading at the moment).
So, OF COURSE I am super excited for this book !
This book is coming out on March 8th 2016.
The Raven King by Maggie Stiefvater
This is the final book in The Raven Cycle. I still have to read Blue Lily, Lily Blue. And I know I won’t buy this book this year, because I stupidly bought a reprint for the first two books…
Anyway. I really enjoyed the first two books and I really want to read the sequels !

I read her debut novel An Ember In The Ashes back in November and it was SO SO good !
I loved everything about this book.
Sabaa Tahir created a pretty original world and I cannot wait to dive back into it !
Laia and Elias’ adventures promise to be highly entertaining !

I know, A second V.E Schwab’s book in this list ! Well, she is one of my favorite authors and has become an auto-buy author !
This is the first book in the Monsters of Verity series (according to Goodreads) ; the synospsis promises epicness. V. E. Schwab described it as “Sin City + Romeo and Juliet – romance + monsters.”
This book is coming out on June 7th.
